SWOP gratefully accepts all donations! By making a one-off donation or a regular donation of as little as $10 a month, you can support our work and make a difference to the lives of many people in the community. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and all donors—individuals, corporations and foundations—are entitled to receive an official receipt for the amount of the donation.
SWOP is a community-based non-government organisation working in our community, for the community. Funding for SWOP comes from NSW Health but it doesn’t cover all of our work. Our work is also financed by small grants, fundraising activities and donations.
A bequest is simply a special gift made in your will of part or all of your estate. How much you decide to leave as a bequest depends on your own personal circumstances. It’s your personal decision, whatever you can afford will help.
If you wish to make a bequest to SWOP there are several ways you can do so:
If you’re preparing your will and you’d like to leave a bequest to SWOP, we recommend the following wording:
“I give, free of any relevant duties, (the whole of my estate) (the remainder of my estate) ( __% of my estate ) (or the sum of $_____ ) to Sex Workers Outreach Project Inc, PO Box 1354 Strawberry Hills NSW 2012, for its general purposes. The receipt of the Treasurer, Secretary or Public Officer for the time being of the Council is an absolute discharge to my Trustee or Executor.”
